On season three with these 245/75 16's on my 4x4 Tacoma. 9,000 miles now and should make it to 15K before I lose the soft compound.
After owning various studded and unstudded snow tires over the years, I'm a convert to the soft compound Blizzak. These tires, 4wd if I use it, LSD rear axle, and a 6spd manual provide amazing stability, traction, and control.
Very good on snow and slush, and close to studs on ice. With all the salt NY uses on the roads these days, no more studs for me. The ice of 15 years ago is now mostly slush... Obviously a bit soft & noodley on warm dry days. But as they wear, they behave better on the pavement.
These are great studless light truck/SUV snow tires with few drawbacks. Beleive these tires are now replaced with DMZ-3's Blizzak.
